Work Experience

From July 2002 to Oct. 2006, associate research professor at the Beijing research center on major city hazards of Beijing Municipal Institute of Labor Protection, mainly focused on evacuation safety in built environment.

From Nov. 2006 to Aug. 2007, associate research professor at Institute of Psychology Public Safety under China Academy of Safety Science and Technology, mainly focused on evacuation safety in built environment and risk assessment technologies, made the first try to collaborate with the psychologists from Institute of Psycholoy under Chinese Academy of Science to study the psychological and behavioral characteristics of evacuees, and began to deal with the issues of the disables’ evacuation.

 From Sept. 2007 up to now, research professor at Institute of Public Safety under China Academy of Safety Science and Technology, expanded the evacuation research from the built environment to the evacuation process in a large region, gradually realized the importance to collaborate with the sociologists and the social psychologists, began to make field surveys on the actual large-scale crowd evacuation during and after major technical disasters.
